2026 KBO season to begin March 28

The 2026 Korean baseball season will begin on the final weekend of March. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) said Friday its upcoming season will start March 28 with all 10 clubs in action. The defending Korean Series champions LG Twins will host the KT Wiz at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. It will be a homecoming game for Kim Hyun-soo, who signed with the Wiz as a free agent only weeks after captaining the Twins to the title and earning the Korean Series MVP award. Elsewhere, the Korean Series runners-up Hanwha Eagles will bring the Kiwoom Heroes to Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark in the central city of Daejeon. The SSG Landers will play host to the Kia Tigers at Incheon SSG Landers Field in Incheon, just west of the capital city. The Samsung Lions will bring the Lotte Giants to Daegu Samsung Lions Park in the southeastern city of Daegu. In Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, the NC Dinos will take on the Doosan Bears.
